Smartboard Presentation May 14 1PM
May 7th, 2008 — Teaching Resources, tips
Dear Foreign Language Faculty,
We would like to invite you all to an orientation session on using the
SMARTTech Smartboard.
The SMARTBoard (http://smarttech.com/) has become a common
installation in the K-12 classroom for teaching all subjects and has
great potential for all presentational teaching. It allows for
PowerPoint-like presentations that you can directly
interact with. It connects to a computer and projector and allows you
to navigate by touching the SMARTBoard surface to click on icons or
weblinks, and move visual elements around on the screen. You can also
save the resulting images for later reference or for distribution to
the class.
Gloria Washington will be presenting to interested faculty members
on May 14th at 1 PM in the Ted Mimms Foreign Language Learning Center.
Please RSVP to fllcrequest@sc.edu if you plan on attending.

Did you know that you can create pdfs from any Macintosh? Just act like you are going to print, then select “Save as PDF” from the menu at the bottom left. Then you can save the pdf to your computer. You can also use our new HP Multi Function printer to scan a paper document directly to PDF and have it sent to your e-mail address!
